Precautions:
  • Topical benzocaine preparations have been associated with the occurrence of methaemoglobinaemia, especially in infants and young children. The possibility of sensitization should be considered during topical Benzocaine therapy. Topical Benzocaine preparations should be used in children under the age of 2 years only under the direction of a physician. Topical Benzocaine containing products (creams, lotions, and jellies) should be used sparingly and avoided in areas of inflamed skin or open wounds. Use cautiously in patients with severly traumatised Mucosa Or Local Sepsis
